The deal, in plain English

“You” is the person or company with an Attesso account. “We” is the company operating Attesso at getattesso.com. By creating an account you accept these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to.

Attesso scans a website for third-party scripts and cookies, shows a consent banner to your visitors, holds non-essential scripts until a visitor agrees, and keeps a record of what each visitor chose.

Keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into your account. You are responsible for what the people you invite into your workspace do there. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.

• Add a site you do not own or are not authorised to manage.
• Use the scanner against sites you have no relationship with, or at a rate that burdens them.
• Resell or white-label the service without a written agreement with us.
• Try to break, overload, or work around the limits of the service, including the paywall.
• Use the consent records to mislead anyone about what a visitor actually agreed to.

We may suspend an account that is doing any of these, and we will tell you why.

Creating an account, scanning a site, and setting everything up are free. You pay when the banner actually serves on a live domain of your own. Pricing is per site per month, starting at $10 and falling as you add more. The current rates are always on the pricing page.

• Preview and staging domains (your builder’s preview URL, a staging subdomain, localhost) serve free, for as long as you like.
• Subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel. Prices are exclusive of tax unless stated.
• Change the number of sites at any time; we bill or credit the difference for the rest of the period.
• Cancel at any time. The banner keeps serving until the end of the period you have paid for.

If something on our side is broken and we cannot fix it, email [email protected] and we will refund the affected period. Beyond that we do not give refunds for time already served, but you can cancel whenever you like and stop the next charge.

Your sites, your settings, and the consent records collected through your account belong to you. We use them to run the service for you and nothing else. We do not sell them, and we do not use your visitors’ consent records to build any profile or advertising product.

You can export your consent records at any time, and you can delete a site or your whole account from the dashboard. See the privacy policy for what we hold and for how long.

The service, the software behind it, and the Attesso name and marks stay ours. You get the right to use the service while your account is in good standing; that is the whole of what is granted, and it ends when your account does.

We work hard to keep the service up, but we do not promise it will never be unavailable. We may change or retire features. If a change materially reduces what you are paying for, we will tell you by email before it takes effect, and you can cancel.

The service is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability in any twelve-month period is capped at what you paid us in that period.

In particular: we are not liable for regulatory fines or third-party claims arising from your site, your scripts, or the consent choices you configure. Some countries do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law permits.

You can close your account at any time from the dashboard. We may end an account that breaks these terms or goes unpaid, with notice where we reasonably can. When an account closes, the banner stops serving and we delete your data on the schedule in the privacy policy.

If we make a material change we will email account owners at least 30 days before it takes effect and update the date at the top. Carrying on using Attesso after that means you accept the new version.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which our company is established, and the courts there have jurisdiction. Nothing here removes any consumer right you have that cannot be waived by contract. Before filing anything, email us. Almost everything is faster to settle in an inbox.
